10 Grand Press is an independent publishing press with a mission to collaborate with artists through process and hands-on experimentation. Artists collaborate with master printer Marina Ancona to develop and produce ideas in traditional and expansive print forms. The press produces uniques and limited editions printed at Brooklyn, NY, and Santa Fe, NM shops.
Marina Ancona is an artist and master printer, who founded 10 Grand Press in 1999 in Brooklyn, NY, and has steadily expanded operations since. In 2005 she opened a satellite workshop in Santa Fe, NM, and continues to do her own work as well as collaborate with artists in both locations.
Ancona has collaborated with a range of acclaimed artists. She is known for her ability to work in a variety of media and her dedication to experimentation and process. Editions and monotype series are often variable and frequently incorporate innovative techniques or materials. Marina Ancona’s publishing and collaborative projects have been exhibited at the Guggenheim Museum, Museum of Modern Art, Queens Museum, Whitney Museum of American Art, Kunstverein Dusseldorf, Kunsthalle Basel, Venice Biennal Anton Kern Gallery, Mathew Marks Gallery, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and in contemporary print collections of the Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Albuquerque Museum among others.
