As part of this CLAVIS-sponsored permanent seminar, Andrea Giunta will discuss her essay "People, Mass, Multitude," for the exhibition Memories of Underdevelopment: Art and the Decolonial Turn in Latin America, 1960–1985 (2016, organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego with the Museo de Arte de Lima and the Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporáneo, Mexico City) exhibition catalog; and her ongoing research on the international trajectories of Pablo Picasso’s most famous work, Guernica (1937).
