Alumna Denise Elliott Jones opens exhibition at Dougherty Arts Center

Contemporary abstract artist and UT Studio Art alumna Denise Elliott Jones’ work will be featured in her latest exhibition Does it Match the Sofa? at the Dougherty Arts Center. The exhibition is Jones’ way of addressing visual perceptions and relevance of art by taking a light hearted look at how artists, collectors, designers and art lovers can enjoy art and sofas side by side.

The Dougherty Arts Center will be hosting an artist reception for Larry Arkers, Amber Kaiser and Denise Elliott Jones, who have upcoming exhibitions located in the art center’s three Julia C. Butridge Galleries. The reception and opening of Jones’ exhibition is Wednesday, February 13 at 7pm, and Does it Match the Sofa? will be on view through March 17.
