Studio Art professor Margo Sawyer’s work will be showcased in The Lancaster Hotel located in Houston, Texas. The hotel is being reopened after receiving significant damage from Hurricane Harvey last year. Principal partner Jay Shinn wanted The Lancaster Hotel to be a combination of his two passions - art and hospitality. Shinn has curated over 200 works of art from various artists to be displayed throughout the Lancaster, working toward the goal of making the Lancaster a landmark art hotel. Along with Sawyer, Shinn has incorporated contemporary pieces by fellow Texas residents such as Mark Flood, Trenton Doyle Hancock, Terrell James and Aaron Parazette and a collection of internationally recognized artists.
