The practice of Laurent Le Bel-Roux aims to deconstruct our perceptual frameworks and develop new systems of interpretation, expanding the spectrum of concepts through which we comprehend our shared physical reality. Through drawing, painting, sound art, and printmaking, he creates works that question the sensorial experience of our perceptions and the ways we represent them. He draws inspiration from natural and physical phenomena such as sound, light, time, and space.
Originally from the province of Quebec in Canada, Laurent Le Bel-Roux holds a bachelor's degree in visual and media arts from UQAM (2021) and a college diploma in sound technology.
